A Geeky Fix to a Bad Monday!

I have been having a stressful and crazy Monday. So what can make a good geek laugh more than some Marvel Agents of SHIELD Bloopers. I hope it picks up you day too!!!!

OK, this Monday is rough enough that I need 2 sets of bloopers.

Our First Look at Supergirl

Melissa Benoist as "Supergirl." CBS/WARNER BROS. TV

Melissa Benoist as “Supergirl.” CBS/WARNER BROS. TV

I have to say, I was really happy with this 6 minute look at the new Supergirl series! She seem strong yet a little bumbling, as is the Super way;). It also seems as if it is going to be kid friendly so you can just imagine how happy that makes all the Nerdlings too!  The biggest surprise was Calista Flockhart being in the cast as her boss! I was also a little surprised to Jeremy Jordan too. I must have just missed that announcement.

What did you think of the first look? Do you think this will be a hit or miss?

Orphan Black is Back! Season 3

Orphan Black is Back!

Orphan Black is back! This Saturday was the season 3 premiere and of course NerdFamilyDad and I tuned in.

On the whole we were pretty happy. There is a certain slowness that happens with all the season premieres but I think it is a necessity. They took time in this episode to catch people up a bit. For some reason they don’t think that it is fresh in your mind, And that you aren’t waiting with baited breath for them answer every question they left you with in Season 2;).

So we didn’t really get a whole lot of new information, more of a review of our cast of characters with just a couple of extra facts/people introduced. Now Sarah got new information but not so much for us;).

It looks like it is going to be an action packed season that really is going to move the whole story line along! And yes, I am being vague. I don’t want to ruin it for anyone.

If you haven’t seen the first episode go do it! If you have, what did you think? I will chat specifics in the comments so don’t check them out if you haven’t watched the episode!

Benedict Cumberbatch, Good Enough to Eat?

chocolate_benedict_cumberbatch

UKTV polled their viewers for the dishiest drama actor. To no surprise, Benedict Cumberbatch won. And what that meant was that his likeness was carved into 40 kg’s of milk chocolate. If you are in Britain, it will be on display at Westfield Stratford City for Good Friday.

This was to celebrate the Drama channel on UKTVPlay.

Check out the making of video too!

1 Month Until Daredevil and a New Trailer

It is only 1 month until the Daredevil series premieres on Netflix! They released a new Daredevil trailer on the Netflix Youtube channel. It seems to expand out Daredevil’s origin story with mentions of training and not just seeing him be blind as a child. What I am not clear on is if Kingpin is a party to Matt Murdock’s decision to become Daredevil. Or is this going to be very flashback based like Arrow (I hope not)?

DOnofrio_as_KingPin
We also got a real exposure to Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin! It is kind of weird, just because I am used to him with hair. I am sure he will do a good job.

Can’t wait for the launch on April 10, 2015 on Netflix!!!!

David Tennant Makes Marvel Even Better

Marvel made a really cool announcement… One that will make Marvel Whovians extra happy..
Enter…

That’s right, David Tennant! David Tennant will be joining the Jessica Jones project that will be on Netflix after Daredevil! He will be playing Kilgrave.

I am super stoked. And we know that is will be coming later in 2015 or in 2016, so not as long as many of the other promised Marvel offerings.

Are you excited about the new casting announcement? Who would you like to see them casting next?

A Commitment for a SuperGirl Series

There has been a commitment announced for a SuperGirl series announced today. CBS has given a series commitment for the series that has been in development by Adler and Berlanti.

Between this, the possible Titans series over on TNT, Arrow’s success and the soon to be debuted Flash things are looking good for the comic book tv world! I also really love the idea of a strong female character taking the lead as the hero.

So what do you think? Do you think this or the Titans will ever actually see the light of the tv screen? Do you think these or the new Flash have a hope of making it for a whole season or more?

Let me know in the comments!

Mr. Cumberbatch as Mr. Darcy?

Um, yes please!

Fan girls around the world are once again grateful to Benedict Cumberbatch for his willingness to get wet for charity.

Give Up Clothes for Good is a campaign for cancer research by British retailer TK Maxx that is celebrating their 10 year anniversary. To celebrate quite a few stars showed up for some great photo shoots.

But lets be honest, Benedict Cumberbatch recreating Colin Firth’s wet shirt scene is something that will be iconic.

The only thing better is if he recreated the role itself. But that may just be my geek girl dreams…

A Fantastic Add to Marvel’s Agent Carter

I am already anxiously awaiting the new Marvel tv series called Agent Carter. I mean why wouldn’t I love a series based on a bad ass, kick butt woman who also helped found SHIELD? I mean, what is not to love? Well, I can’t tell you what isn’t to love but I can say I love it even more;)!!

They have added Chad Michael Murray and Enver Gjokaj to the cast. Chad Michael Murray is fine. He is best known from One Tree Hill. I have seen him in a variety of things and he hasn’t sucked but that isn’t why I am excited. Enver Gjokaj!!! He is probably best know from DollHouse and that is where I discovered him too! In season 2 of Dollhouse Enver Gjokaj did a bit where he was playing Fan Kranz’s character that was phenomenal. I think he is one of the most under appreciated actors out there!

(I tried to find a clip of that fab performance but can’t find it anywhere! Go watch Dollhouse’s Left Hand episode from season 2)
