Collective Bargaining Agreement Sierra Leone

Iluka recognizes the right of our employees to bargain collectively. In each operational region of Australia, the terms of the collective agreement are renewed approximately every four years through negotiations with workers` representatives. The majority of workers in Sierra Rutile are covered by a collective agreement negotiated every three years with all mining companies in Sierra Leone and the Union of Mines. In 2019, a new three-year collective agreement was negotiated and agreed with the United Mine Workers Union. The collective agreement was born from the miners` file, which describes the rights and obligations of mining companies and their employees below the level of supervision. It covers salary scales, working hours, allowances, overtime, social benefits, training, health and safety, claims mechanisms and procedures. Email us here to learn more about the Sierra Leone Chapter`s contributions to this guide. In a demonstration of its commitment to the well-being of its staff, Dawnus signed a collective agreement with the Sierra Leone Mine Workers` Union on Wednesday 18 December 2013. We offer flexible working rules and paid parental leave in all legal systems that meet local legal requirements or exceed local legal requirements. Rewards are provided in part in cash and iluka shares in Australia and a number of other countries. If Iluka makes major changes to the company, we provide timely information and will consult with staff in accordance with the mechanisms of the relevant industrial instruments. In consulting, we take into account the circumstances and needs of staff and all reasonable steps will be taken to mitigate the potential negative effects of changes on staff.

We are committed to a committed and cooperative relationship with our employees.. . .
